I thought playing along with Kendra, of Catholic All Year would be a fun way to start the blog.
1.
How long have you lived in your current home?
4.5 years, with a few breaks. Hopefully, I
can start knocking things off the to-do list soon. Our home looks pretty much
like it did when we moved in.
2.
How do you find out about news and current
events?
![]() |
| Mostly from this guy. |
I used to listen to NPR everyday on my
commute, and then surf the news sites (BBC, The Drudge Report, The Federalist,
even occasionally Al Jazeera) sometimes during the workday. Now, I find out
almost everything from hearing someone else talk about it. It just doesn’t seem relevant to me anymore.
Short of going to Kurdistan to fight ISIS there isn’t much I can do. Except
pray. And I don’t need to be well informed to pray.
3.
Would you be able to make change for a twenty
right now? For a dollar?
Yes.
It might be all in change, but I definitely have enough. Way more than
enough.
4.
What's the craziest food you've ever eaten?
I’m not a picky eater, but I can’t think of
anything really out there. Sushi,
alligator, MREs…there were some chocolate chip cookies with wax worms in them
at the Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans that probably count as the craziest.
5.
Which of the commonly removed parts have you had
removed? (tonsils, wisdom teeth, appendix, etc.)
Just wisdom teeth. It was terrifying up until they gave me the valium. My mom had to come with me. She was a trooper for the wisdom teeth.
Later I had to have a very complicated root canal, complete with stitches, and a bone graft. Also terrifying, also needed my mother, this time however she PASSED OUT as we were leaving. They had to call the ambulance and everything. I was loopy from the pain meds. She was mortified, I was worried, and the dentist brought it up every time I saw him for the next year. But everyone was really nice, and it all turned out to be no big deal, so now it's really funny.

What's your favorite sport to watch on TV?
![]() |
| Because, how can you not watch? |
We aren’t huge sports fans, we don’t even
have cable, but I love the FIFA World Cup. The stakes are high, and there is a
ton of drama. My husband and I also enjoy heckling ridiculous Olympic Sports,
to include the parade of nations and opening ceremony.

Hey, welcome to the blogosphere! The Olympics are great. I'm always sad when I realize it isn't an Olympic year.
